ABOUT
-
LIZZIE GLENDINNING (formerly BROCKET LONDON) was founded in 2014 by artist Jack Bullen and curator Lizzie Glendinning to champion emerging and mid-career artists whose practices engage with and reinterpret art-historical techniques and narratives for contemporary audiences.
Over the past decade the gallery has introduced and supported numerous artists at pivotal early stages of their careers, many of whom have since achieved significant international recognition. Initially operating from its London space until 2019, the gallery’s programme expanded through a series of nomadic exhibitions, curatorial projects, and participation in international art fairs.
In 2016 the founders launched Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, now widely recognised as the leading international fair dedicated to contemporary original print. The fair presents exceptional artists working across the medium, from emerging voices to established figures, alongside specialist galleries from around the world.
Since 2020 the organisation has evolved into a private gallery and advisory, working with a focused group of artists to provide sustained support and strategic opportunities. Its programme now includes a residency in the North Pennines, exhibitions presented across London and the UK, and collaborations with collectors, institutions, and cultural partners internationally, while continuing to souce and place a wide variety of exceptional works in distinguished private and public collections.

Founded in 2022, The Brocket Residency provides artists with dedicated time for research and creative development at the gallery’s rural outpost in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Set within this distinctive landscape, the residency offers space for reflection, experimentation, and the development of new work. Through partnerships with regional institutions, the programme also connects artists with new audiences, culminating in an Open Studio and Artist Talk during the residency period.
Each residency concludes with a solo exhibition in London, accompanied by presentations at partner venues across the North East.
Artists who have previously participated in the programme include Eleanor Watson, Liorah Tchiprout, Jake Garfield, Cat Roissetter, and Natasha Michaels.

“Collecting is an infection which is more intractable than any virus and from which there is no inoculation and no immunity.”
— Arthur SacklerCollecting art is both a financial commitment and a deeply personal expression of taste, curiosity, and identity. For many, the process can feel complex or intimidating at first.
Lizzie Glendinning offers a thoughtful and accessible approach to collecting, supporting both new and experienced collectors in building meaningful collections. Through close dialogue, clients gain insight into artists’ practices, processes, and the narratives behind the work, while developing the confidence to speak about their collections with clarity and understanding.
Lizzie works with collectors who are drawn to the stories behind the work—those interested in supporting emerging artists, discovering new voices, or acquiring significant works for long-term investment and enjoyment.
