An Iranian artist based in the United Kingdom, exploring the intersection of history, mythology, and the contemporary. Through printmaking, painting, drawing and impactful installation, Barrangi creates worlds where the past and present are intricately interwoven, reinterpreting Persian miniature painting, Qajar-era imagery, and classical literature through a contemporary lens.
Barrangi’s work site in a number of significant international public and private collections. He was a recipient of the Henry Moore Art Prize (2025), and the Imprint x Ushaw Residency & Acquisition prize (2025) - responding to the historic collection of this magnificent public museum.
Each of the below works on paper are unique prints measuring approximately 48 × 53cm.
